It's Ruth Gambescia. 
Well, at last...Rich's birthday was yesterday and I gave him the painting.  He absolutely LOVED it.  He was totally blown away by the concept of having a painting of our boat on the sea chart like that.  He must have gone on and on about it for over a half hour!  He has already found a "place of honor" for it at our home in Ocean City, NJ.
Thanks again for all your hard work in creating this unique gift for my husband. 
Also, an FYI.  While we were at the framers, there were several paintings,
Avalon beach scenes, sail boat scenes, etc., done on charts by an artist that now lives in New England.  (None were of specific boats like you do.)  The prices were in the $3250 range for the paintings, framed.  I think you do yourself a disservice by undercharging for such great pieces of art!  Yours were much better than the ones we saw in the frame shop.

This was a surprise gift for my husband...something he would never consider
for himself.  He is overjoyed with the painting...I came home from work yesterday and found him sitting in the living room looking at the painting.
